On Thursday, 17 October, the Boekensteun crowdfunding platform was launched at the initiative of the Vlaamse Erfgoedbibliotheek (the Flemish Heritage Library) and the Vlaams Fonds voor de Letteren (the Flemish Literature Fund). Thanks to this alternative method of financing, the general public now has the opportunity to contribute to the following book publication and conservation projects within the framework of our heritage libraries:

• FotoMuseum Provincie Antwerpen (Province of Antwerp Photo Museum): SOS ABC: weekblad in nood
• Cultuurbibliotheek Brugge (Bruges Cultural Library): Hou Vlaanderen op de kaart
• Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (Royal Brussels Conservatory): Lively Lovely Libretti
• Museum Plantin-Moretus / Prentenkabinet, Antwerpen (Plantin-Moretus Museum/Print Room, Antwerp): Red het lusthof der maagden
• Grootseminarie Brugge (The Bruges Seminar): Unieke, laatmiddeleeuwse Bijbel zoekt nieuwe toekomst

Thanks to collaboration between this project and the King Baudouin Foundation, it is also possible to make private donations for which no compensation is required but for which a tax receipt can be issued.
