The Eric Speeckaert Fund for the Study of Prince Charles-Joseph de Ligne’s Work has recently acquired an album of 13 etchings attributed to Charles, the eldest son of Prince Charles-Joseph de Ligne.
This portrait was for many years part of a private collection in Paris and so the general public had only rare occasions to enjoy it. Today, thanks to its purchase by the Heritage Fund, the work can be seen by everyone at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.

Not only a testimony to the historical context in which it was created, this painting, acquired by the Heritage Fund, also marks an important landmark in Antoine Mortier’s oeuvre.
Mr and Mrs Guy Dessicy have donated around a hundred letters written by Hergé, the famous comic book artist, to his private secretary Marcel Dehaye. The letters are to be entrusted to the Bibliotheca Wittockiana in Brussels, thus guaranteeing their careful conservation.
