The Léon Courtin-Marcelle Bouché Fund created within the King Baudouin Foundation in order to support the acquisition, restauration, publication and valorization of Belgian works of art, has purchased, in 2016, a complete collection of songs dating from the Middle Ages. Completely unknown before its acquisition, this small manuscript turned out to be a world discovery as well as a masterpiece from the former Southern Netherlands.
The Foundation has entrusted the work to the Alamire Foundation, the international centre for the study of music from the former Southern Netherlands. This summer, discover the 50 songs of the manuscript in world premiere during the marathon of the Laus Polyphoniae Festival at AMUZ.
