Violinist Anna Göckel has reached the semi-final of the 2019 Queen Elisabeth Competition. In 2017, she was able to record her first CD thanks to support from the Fravanni Fund, created within the King Baudouin Foundation with the aim of supporting young musicians.
On Monday, May 6th, Anna Göckel will interpret a Mozart violin concerto. You can listen to her recital as of 15h on Thursday, 9 May. The 12 competition finalists will be announced in Saturday 11 May around midnight.
In 2017, Anna Göckel was selected by the Fravanni Fund, created within the King Baudouin Foundation, with the aim of encouraging original projects by talented young musicians through the recording, production and promoting of a CD or by a launch concert.
Anna’s first violin CD, Sei solo, recorded thanks to support from the Fravanni Fund, gives us a brilliant interpretation of the complete set of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for Violin. The CD is available online on the websites of NoMadMusic and the FNAC.
