The Jean Capart Fund was recently created within the King Baudouin Foundation. It aims at promoting Belgian Egyptologist Jean Capart’s historical heritage in order to boost the historical and scientific aspects of Egyptology in Belgium.
The Fund supports scientific works on the identification, gathering, selection, conservation, inventarisation and digitalization of Jean Capart’s archives as well as their promotion. It can support every research and publication initiative linked to Jean Capart and its work, including a website or any other communication channel.
The Fund works with the Association Égyptologique Reine Élisabeth, which headquarters lies at the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels.
To mark its launching, the Fund has published a booklet. Discover the work of the founder of Egyptology in Belgium and help protect his heritage.
